The project, Drought and Food Insecurity, was implemented for 1340 Households by Rehabilitation Association and Agriculture Development for Afghanistan (RAADA) and funded by CA. This project was implemented in 15 villages of Kohsan district- Herat Province in 2009.
Project specific points:
- To provide affected population with access to water. Activities include revitalizing the pasture lands and provide drinking water for livestock near the pastures in 15 villages of Kohsan by establishing 1 large earth dam.
- To increase the income of affected populations. Activities include providing employment opportunity for 1340 vulnerable household through cash for work activities related to the construction of 1 large earth dam.
- To improve livelihoods of the 40 poor people living under poverty line in Kohsan District.
